Lola passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on November 22, 2022, at the age of 88 in Beeton, Ontario.

Lola was born in Larnaca, Cyprus.  She was predeceased by her mother and father, Olga and Michael, her sister Evroula and her former husband Costas.

She is survived by her children, Mario (Kelly), John (Jessie) and Simone (Bruce), her grandchildren Katrina (Jayson), Amanda, Tara (Lukas), Madison, and her great-grandchildren Amelia, Angelo and Colton.

Lola moved to Toronto in 1967, where she raised her family while pursuing a diverse career.  In her lifetime, she was an entrepreneur and a successful small business owner, importing linens from abroad and distributing them to major department stores.  Always stylish with a life-long interest in fashion, she later worked for various retailers in women’s fashions, jewelry and cosmetics.

Lola continued her education throughout her life, earning two Bachelor of Arts degrees in the 1990s.  In retirement, she spent nine years in Cyprus, before returning to Canada to be with her family.

Lola embraced life with passion and vigor and met life’s challenges with determination and perseverance. She will be lovingly remembered by her family, friends and everyone who met her.
