Lori-Ann (Lingley) Rawlings passed away at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, Ontario on September 19, 2026 at the age of 65 after a short but valiant battle with cancer.  She was surrounded by her family including her daughter, Michelle Rawlings, her son Sean Rawlings and his partner Elizabeth Huband; as well as her brother Michael Lingley and her sister-in-law Kathleen Lingley. Mourned by her parents David Lingley and Mary Lingley of Keswick.  Adored Aunt (Lulu) to Ben, Sam and Emma Lingley. Lori-Ann is also survived by her cousins, Mary Wilson, Rick Lingley, and Bob Lingley. Predeceased by her maternal grandparents Wilbur and Lila McCullough, her paternal grandparents Frances and Mona Lingley, Aunt and Uncle Shirley and Gerry Edwards, cousin Sharil Ann Edwards, as well as her Uncle Bob Lingley.

Born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario on November 18, 1960, she lived in many places before the family settled in Scarborough, Ontario where she graduated from Stephen Leacock High School. She went on to study Nursing (Ryerson now TMU) and eventually found her vocation in Bookkeeping after settling in Newmarket, Ontario.  Lori worked as a bookkeeper for multiple small businesses in the Newmarket and surrounding area, most recently for Millennium Graphics, Unwind Yarn House, Sundance Signs, DPT Maintenance Inc., and Richters Herbs (retired November 2025) to name only a few. She made lifelong friends everywhere along her life’s journey.  She had an excitement for life and approached it with honesty, humour, perseverance and love. Beloved mother, daughter, sister, Aunt and treasured friend…she will be so deeply missed.

The family is incredibly grateful to the Doctors and Nurses on the 6th floor Oncology/Palliative care units at Southlake Hospital for their exceptional care and support. Instead of flowers donations can be made to the Southlake Health Foundation in memory of Lori-Ann Rawlings and designated to the Regional Cancer Centre or the Palliative Care Program.
