It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Lorna (Gail) Coughlin on April 6, 2026, at the age of 79.

Born November 8, 1946, Gail will be lovingly remembered by her son, Russell Coughlin; her daughter, Jackie Coughlin; her grandchildren, Dustin, Logan, Jessica and Elliot; her great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, Aiden, Remington, and Benjamin; and her sister, Ruth Lehman. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jim Coughlin (2023), and her daughter, Terry Coughlin (2018).

Gail will be remembered for her strength and resilience. She faced life’s challenges with determination, leaving a lasting impression on those who knew her. She had a love for entertaining and took great joy in cooking for friends. Gail connected easily with others and was known for her warmth and genuine care for those around her.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at RVH and to supporting friends for their compassionate care during her last few months. She will be missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Gail’s memory may be made to Hospice Simcoe

    So sorry for you Jackie and Russell. It’s so sad to loose a loved one.
    I still wonder when my phone will ring and it will be Gail.
