Passed away peacefully on July 27, 2022 at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie at the age of 82 years. Lorna was born in Aurora, ON to the late Norman and Reta Elmer. Beloved wife of Ralph for 63 wonderful years. Loving mother of Wayne, and Ed (Clare). Dear sister of Kenneth (Grace), Lois, and Janet (George). Lorna will be missed by many family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Auntie Lorna was one in a million. She will always hold a special place in my heart ❤️ To me she will always be my “adopted mom”. She not only cared for me when I was a baby she was by my side and supported me in so many ways throughout my life.
It is so hard to accept that she passed away on my birthday but I believe that she wanted to share my special day. I will never forget her. I will cherish all of her memories close to my heart forever. I have comfort knowing that she is with my mom and dad.

Posted on: Wednesday, August 10, 2022I am so happy that my children Zach, Amanda & Jessica, along with Zach’s girlfriend Meghan and our dog Riley got to have a special visit with Auntie Lorna & Uncle Ralph. Unfortunately Mark was unable to come.
They will all miss Auntie Lorna and her big hugs.

Posted on: Tuesday, August 16, 2022Carilyn and I send our sincerest condolences On Lorna’s passing! As cousins born within a few month’s of each other, we spent many hours playing together and as such we became more than just cousins and more like close friends. In later years she brought Ralph into the fold and a great friendship was added as well. Lorna and Ralph were a special couple and although Lorna has passed she will always be remembered and loved by Carilyn and I. RIP Lorna, someday we will see you on the others side of the stars!

I am so sorry to intrude on this forum, but I am hoping this comment might reach a family member. I am specifically looking for Wayne Hortensius regarding a deferred pension with a previous employer (Computing Devices). I think I have located Ed and Clare via Instagram and sent a message as well.
