Funeral Details: A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date

It is with great sadness that the family of Lorraine Roach (nee David) announce her passing.  She died peacefully on September 8, 2022 at Hospice Simcoe in Barrie, Ontario.  Much loved mother of Tony (Terri) of Digby NS, Jason (Brenda) of Utopia ON, and Duane of Halifax, NS.  Cherished grandmother of Avery, Thomas, Sarah, Matthew, Katelyn, Nevaeh, Nathan, Scott, and Ethan.  Youngest sister of Donna, Sue, Barb, Stanley, and Albert.  She will be deeply missed by her longtime friend, partner, and companion Bruce, as well as by their dog Max.

Lorraine was a hard worker and had numerous occupations.  She was excellent at caring for others both as a mother and as an employee at several retirement homes.  She was still working at the time of her illness in the retail sector.

She enjoyed the little things in life, like working in her gardens, playing cards, drinking her tea, and spending time with her various pets.

She leaves us far too early after a courageous battle with cancer.   At her request cremation has taken place.  Her final resting spot will be the Innisvale Cemetery, Innisfil, Ontario.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered.

The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers at Hospice Simcoe for their kindness and compassion during her final days.  Donations in her memory can be made to www.hospicesimcoe.ca

To my dearest friend Mini Wheat,
For the last 14 years you have been someone I loved respected and admired, your wicked sense of humour, your laugh, and you mischievous smile, and although you were a petite lady I learned in recent months that all your big was on the inside, your determination never wavered your strength and courage never faded, it is a testament to what a wonderful mother you were to see the devotion of your boys they and Bruce were on your side and by your side all the way along.

I will always remember and never forget the most beautiful friendship we had I miss you so much already and I always will Rest In Peace my dear friend Lorraine
    Always in my heart
    Lynn

I remember the Boxing Day dinners that Jason and his Mom would prepare. I was only able to attend a couple, but they were a lot fun. Lorraine always had a cheerful smile and a kind word for everyone.
