Funeral Details: Private Family Arrangements

“29 and Holding”

It is with great sadness and love that the family announces the passing of the one and only Louise Marie Groome in Orillia on Friday, May 12, at 65 years of age.  She passed surrounded by family and friends after her battle with cancer.  Daughter of the late Hector and Leona Lauzon; cherished and loving mother of Benjamin Groome and Samantha Groome; baby sister of 10 beautiful siblings.  Predeceased by Claire Kelly (Stan), Ernie Lauzon (Cecile), Denis Lauzon (Laura), Diane Cusson (Late Denis); and survived by Rita Bigelow (Late Bruce), Sue Marchand (Late Gary), Andy Lauzon (Mayva), Richard Lauzon (Diane), Gilles Lauzon (Nicky).  She will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and good friends.

Louise lit up every room she graced with her presence, danced through the world as the life of the party, and generously gave kindness, love, and support to everyone she knew.  To know her was to love her.  Louise was a mother to everyone and left a profound impact on her family and friends.  Heaven has gained a true Angel.

In keeping Louise’s wishes there will be no visitation or service.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mariposa House Hospice in Orillia or Gilda’s Club in Barrie.   Online memories and condolences may be shared at www.peacefultransition.ca

Dear Sammy, I unfortunately never knew your mom. However, I learned about her fight against cancer early when I met you and I always prayed for her and for your family.
It’s with deep sadness that I wish you my condolences. May God bless you and your family everyday, and may He give you strength to continue to be the happy and loving girl you are!
If you need anything, we are here for you.

Sending love and hugs to Sammy and her family during this tough time. I never got to meet Louise but I’ve had the pleasure of befriending her daughter Sam ❤️
A phrase that’s always stuck by me is “you are who you are raised by” – if Sammy is anything like her mom, then Heaven has truly gained one of the greatest angels ever.
So terribly sorry for your loss xo
