Lucie Marie da Silva (née Daal) passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre on Thursday, December 12, 2024.
Beloved mother of Tony, Walter (Janeen da Silva), Roy (Lori da Silva), Rachelle (Lloyd Hermelyn), Pierre (Judy da Silva), and Juanita (Rocco Diliso). Cherished Granny to Matthew, Mark, Rhenna, Robynn, Sephron, Sherisse, Jessica, Ethan, Holly, Nicole, Tiffany, Danny, Christopher, Andrew, Morgan, Taylor, Joseph, Justin, and 28 wonderful great-grandchildren. Devoted sister to Heinz, Vincent, Jan, Stanley, Elvira, Roman, Wim, and Ida.
She is reunited in heaven with open arms by her loving parents Paulinus and Irine Daal, devoted and adoring husband Antonio da Silva, daughter Rachelle Milne, son-in-law Lloyd Hermelyn, great-granddaughter Lucia DePass, and all the family and loved ones who passed before her in eternal life.
Lucie’s family will be holding a private celebration of her life and legacy by invitation only on January 12, 2025, from 1:00 – 4:00 pm at Stonehaven Banquet Hall (63 Eric T. Smith Way, Aurora, ON L4G 0Z6).
In lieu of flowers or cards, the family invites you to honour Lucie by painting a rock in her memory. These rocks will be placed at the family home and cottage as lasting tributes cherished by her children and grandchildren. Rocks may be brought to the celebration of life or sent at a later date by contacting her daughter, Juanita, for details.

She put us all to shame with her dance moves. She had the most beautiful smile and gentle laughter …. You are an amazing woman Lucie, I’m lucky to have known you.

I will miss you and our wonderful FT chats. They were so sweet, I loved them. The time we spent chatting was very special. How gracious you were for sharing memories and thoughts of Rachelle. You comforted me, as you too were truly hurting.
Lucie was a beautiful person inside and out and will always hold a special place in my heart. It was a blessing to know her.
