Lynda Jane Pace (nee Wyatt)

February 26, 1948 - August 8, 2022

Funeral Details: Private family arrangements

Passed away peacefully at the age of 74 years, surrounded by loved ones and her pets on Monday, August 8th, 2022 at Hospice Simcoe.

She had been living with ovarian cancer for the last five years and despite her many challenges she chose to move through her days with a courageous attitude and a smile on her face.

Survived by her loving husband of forty years Don Pace, children Mark Major (Laurie) and Marcy Baldry (Randy Parsons), her grandchildren Marinna Major, Hayley Baldry and Jamie Parsons (Jess Rizzardo), brother Rick Wyatt (Natalie Cadeau), sister in law Pam Boutilier and many cousins, nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.  Predeceased by parents Irene Wynne and Jack Wyatt and brother Randy Wyatt.

Lynda loved the water and was fortunate to grow up with a family cottage on Six Mile Lake.  She and Don later moved to Ahmic Lake where she enjoyed countless gatherings with family and friends, time spent on the deck, dock, boating and floating in the lake.  Life later took her and Don to bigger water and boating on Georgian Bay where they enjoyed new friendships and adventures.  She will be missed by her family and many new and life long friends for her energy, her smile, laughter and ability to start the biggest and best bonfires.

The family wishes to send special thanks to Dr. Leah Jutzi, the medical teams at Simcoe Muskoka Regional Cancer Centre and Huntsville District Memorial Hospital, program staff at Gilda's Club and the incredible team of staff, volunteers and caregivers at Hospice Simcoe.

As Lynda was always a planner a live celebration of life has taken place.  The family was extremely fortunate to be in the care of Dr. Brian Morris to arrange for medical assistance in dying.  Cremation has taken place.

Donations if desired would be greatly appreciated to Hospice Simcoe or Gilda's Club Simcoe Muskoka.

Sending my warmest condolences to the family of an amazing woman. I can’t think back to my teenage years without thinking of Lynda and Don. Marcy and I gave them a run for their money over the years. How many times did I mistake Lynda for Marcy when she answered the phone, sharing the latest gossip and shenanigans before realizing who I was actually speaking with. May you all find peace and warm memories during this difficult time. Much Love Myla xoxoxox

Her heart and volunteerism had a positive impact on Seasons Centre for Grieving Children.

Grief is the last act of love we have to give to those we loved. Where there is deep grief there was great love.

My heartfelt condolences to Don, Marcy and Hailey.

Marcy, Mark and Don, I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I’ll always remember the trips to the cottage and how Lynda was so tolerant of our teenage shenanigans. She was always coolheaded (even when a golden lab ate the entire appetizer Brie wheel in one gulp, and the dock soap too…)

She was truly an admirable person and I am grateful for having been able to know her.

Thinking of you guys and sending love.

My thoughts are with Marcy, Mark and Don and all her family and friends who will be heartbroken at the loss of Lynda.

There are many people that we meet in our lives, but only a few will make a lasting impression on our minds and hearts.
These people will always listen and talk to you, they will care about your happiness and well being. They will like you for who you are and they will support you at all times.
Lynda was one very special person.

I am fortunate to have had Lyn for a true friend for over 60 years.
This isn’t goodbye we will meet again and carry on this amazing friendship.

Rest in peace my lovely ❤️
