Passed away peacefully with her cherished family by her side.
Much loved daughter of Alice Moskalyk and the late Merv Moskalyk. Beloved wife of William “Bill” for 35 years, who was her rock and greatest support. Loving mother of Maxwell “Max” and Millar, both who were always tucked away at the centre of her heart. Cherished sister of Debra (Patrick) and the late Marc.
Lynn’s strength was beyond measure. Private to a fault, she never wanted to be a burden to anyone and was always someone who put others first. She was fun, selfless, and devoted. She lived for her boys and her husband, to whom she gave her whole heart. She took care of everything, keeping her family and her cherished husband (her “third boy”) in order with love and grace.
Lynn was a close and trusted friend to many, someone who could be confided in and counted on. All who knew her will miss her dearly.
When her boys were young, Lynn was a dedicated volunteer at Monsignor Clair Catholic Elementary School, where she found great joy in being involved in her community.
Cremation has taken place. A Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 65 Amelia Street, on Friday, October 31, 2025 at 10:00 a.m..
If desired, donations to the Lynn Chen Cold Capping Program at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre would be appreciated. This fund has been established in memory of Lynn, if you would like to make a gift, please use this form.

Posted on: Thursday, October 23, 2025Sending our love to Bill, Max and Millar at this very sad time. Lynn was an amazing support to my family through some very difficult times. Always with a smile on her face and a hug to help us on our way. My 2 daughters have said that Lynn was a big part of their childhood and we hold a special place for her in our hearts. So brave, so courageous and a wonderful human being who will be missed. Sending prayers.

Posted on: Monday, October 27, 2025Sincerest condolances to the Chen family on their loss. I had the good fortune of knowing Lynn when Max and Millar were young students at Monsignor Clair school. She was a quiet, behind the scenes powerhouse, volunteering and working at every book sale, bakesale, bbq and parent led event organized. Her raffle baskets were legendary and her lovely smile even more so! One day Lynn brought a beautiful bow-covered little dress to me at school. She told me that she saw it and had to buy it! Knowing I had a young grand-
daughter, she gave it to me. I wish Lynn could have seen little Grace dancing in that magical dress. The world has lost a beautiful soul.
