Funeral Details: Celebration of life to be held at a later time

 

It is with sadness that the family of Madge Elizabeth MacDonald (nee Atkins) announces her passing at Roberta Place LTC, in Barrie on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the age of 89 due to Covid issues.  Beloved wife of the late Robert MacDonald and daughter of the late Melville and Kathleen Atkins.  Dear sister of Melville Atkins (Louise) and Catherine Henderson (Paul) and predeceased by sisters Lenore Ford, Patricia Cochrane (Frank) and Dahlia Sanders (Larry).  Dear sister-in-law of John Charles Ford and his wife May.  Second mother to 18 nephews and nieces and numerous great nephews and nieces.  A Celebration of Life will be held when the current pandemic restrictions permit.  Interment at King City Cemetery.  Forever in our hearts.  Online condolences www.peacefultransition.ca

    So many childhood memories with Aunt Madge. Many Thanksgivings and summers at the cottage and Christmas at her place. Summers were never boring when Aunt Madge was looking after you! RIP I will miss you but am grateful for all time we had with you❤️

    I’m sad to see you go over to the other side. I know, though, that you’re now: young, vibrant and reunited with those that passed before you. I’m glad mum named me after you; it’s a great honour.
