Malcolm George Mortley

October 9, 1925 - April 2, 2019

Funeral Details: Private memorial service to take place a later time

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father and grandfather, Malcolm George Mortley, in his 94th year, on April 2, 2019.

Dad was a World War II Navy veteran who until his later years had been very active in the Canadian Legion, Branch 51, Niagara Falls, Ontario helping veterans.  He was also a member of the Navy Club.  First and foremost, Dad was always there for his family, and also had a great interest in photography and loved dogs.  Dad is survived by his daughters, Joanne Bauerlein (Don), Carol Smith (Paul), as well as his grandchildren, Paul Dale (Kayla), Steve Dale, Sarah Smith and his great grandchildren, Jacob, Ashlynn, Carter and Olivia.  He is predeceased by his wife, Doreen Mortley and daughter Cynthia Donna.

A private service (date to be determined) will be held in Niagara Falls.

The family would like to thank the IOOF long term care residence in Barrie for taking good care of Dad.  Godspeed Dad.  We love you.

My condolences to you Joanne, Carol and your families. So much sadness in such a short time, losing your Mom in December and now your Dad in April. “Grief never ends but it changes. It’s a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, it is the price of Love. Author Unknown” RIP Mr. & Mrs. Mortley
