Margaret Ann Eby (nee Bieth)

June 17, 1925 - September 6, 2021

Funeral Details:

Margaret passed away while in palliative care at Hospice Simcoe after a brief but aggressive battle with cancer.  Born in Kitchener/Waterloo, lived and worked in Toronto, Margaret spent the last few decades in Barrie to be closer to her grandchildren.  Pre-deceased by her husband Ralph in 1973, she lived independently until the last few weeks of her life.

Dear mother of Jennifer (Robert) and Christopher (Karen) and grandmother to Tayler and Vanessa (Jordan).  She will be remembered for her love of classical music and jazz, reading, watching Jeopardy and cooking delicious meals for her family and friends.

Cremation has taken place with a private interment to take place at the Memory Gardens Cemetery (Kitchener/Breslau).

The family is so grateful for the wonderful end of life care our mother received at Hospice Simcoe.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Simcoe or the Salvation Army would be appreciated.  Online memories and condolences may be made at www.peacefultransition.ca

What can I say about a woman who has been apart of my entire life. The picnics. The cottages. The hotel pools. The dearest of childhood memories. l learned so much from her and will miss her dearly. When I hear Sarah Vaughn, Duke Ellington or any classic jazz, I will think of her. When I bake a cake or cook one of her amazing recipes, I will remember her. She was a huge inspiration to me with her gentle way and dry wit. Sincerest condolences to Jen & Rob, Chris & Karen, Vanessa & Jordan and Taylor.
