MARGARET ELIZABETH OLAFSON
Margaret Elizabeth (Betty) Olafson (nee Lloyd), passed peacefully at Chartwell Aurora, in her 91st yr on December 14, 2015. Beloved spouse of the late Raymond Olafson. Loving mother of Brian (Lorraine), and Robin (Brenda). Much loved Nana of Darren, Ryan, Brandon and Meagan. A graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Music, and member of the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir, music was her passion. A loving, compassionate mother, who took the time to help others, either driving for the elderly, or Judging figure skating. She will be missed by all. Forever in our hearts, God Bless.

Posted on: Friday, December 18, 2015I was very sorry to read in the Toronto Star of Betty’s passing. For many years, Betty was an active member of our Anglican Church Women’s group at Church of Our Saviour-Don Mills. She enlivened our monthly meetings with her stories of the figure skating competitions she judged and baked a mean quiche for the annual hot lunch we prepared at the Christmas bazaar. Even after Betty and Ray moved to Sutton, she welcomed our group to come up to their house at least once a year. She will be in our prayers this Sunday at Our Saviour.
