Funeral Details: Private Family Arrangements

Passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 10, 2022 at Serenity Retirement Residence, and the age of 88 years.  Marg is survived by her four children Tim (Lori), Michael (Geri), Karen (Paul), and Krista (Serge); her ten grandchildren Kim, Margie, Catherine, David, Brad, Cara, Jacob, Alex, Chloe, and Emilie; and by her four great grandchildren, Hannah, Owen, Jack, and Charlotte.

Marg had an amazing adventure filled life who touched people of all ages and backgrounds.  She had a huge heart and offered kindness to many with a special love for children.  She taught us to care about others and to look after our families.  She will be very missed by family and friends, but we are sure that Marg has now reunited with her best friend and husband, Harold, to hold his hand once again, have a glass of wine, and a good laugh together.

In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations in memory of Marg may be made to the Children’s Aid Society

To Marg’s family, I am extremely sorry for your loss. Marg was such an amazing individual. She volunteered first at Pope John Paul II School (now St. John Paul II) and then at Saint Gabriel the Archangel School both for several years. She came in every morning, Monday-Friday, throughout the entire school year. She loved working with children and gave so much of herself. In return, the students loved her and always would ask if it was their turn to spend time with her. Marg was kind hearted, thoughtful, patient, generous and devoted to the children. I loved having her in my classroom and getting to know her as a friend. I still think of her often and wish I hadn’t lost touch with her these past few years.

Our hearts and thoughts are with you during this time of grieving. Aunt Marg was a truly wonderful person that meant so much to us and to so many others. I’m sure she’s sitting side by side with Uncle Harold on that old player piano bench, pumping the pedals for all they’re worth and joyfully singing some old toe-tapping tunes!

Thinking of you Krista and your family, your Mom was the sweetest lady and her smile would light up a room! I have such great memories of her in which I hope you find comfort in all the memories that you and your family have. I can just see her with your Dad enjoying that glass of wine together. Take good care and sending hugs. xo
