Margaret, aged 85, passed away on April 26, 2023, at the RVRHC. Margaret was the beloved wife of Douglas Jagges for 67 years, and the loving mother of Linda (Gill) Feltis, Susan (Mark) Hollingsworth, Elizabeth Smith, and Karen Jagges. She was also a cherished grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of 7. She will be missed and remembered also by nieces and nephews, especially Carol, and Richard.
Margaret was a nature lover and enjoyed spending time outdoors, walking and exploring the beauty of the world around her. She was an avid swimmer and canoeist and loved to travel, having visited many countries with her husband, including China and Greece. She was an adventurous spirit who once even had a monkey on her lap! She also loved to spend time in Algonquin park with her family.
Margaret was a multi cancer survivor, inspiring others with her strength and determination. She loved playing mini-stick hockey with her great-grandchildren and spent many happy years as a Barrie resident since 1964.
Margaret will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her family take comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with her sister, her other family members, and furry friends, Benji and Wendel.
A Celebration of Life has been held. Online memories and condolences may be shared at www.peacefultransition.ca

Posted on: Sunday, May 7, 2023We are so sorry to learn of Marg’s passing. In 1968 we moved to Allandale Heights and the Jagges family lived just around the corner. Marg spend a lot of time as we did watching our daughters swimming with the Barrie Y Neptunes. Every year the Marshall Street residents would hold a golf Tournament that Doug and Marg would take part in. Lots of fond memories.

Posted on: Wednesday, May 10, 2023Karen, Mr. Jagges and family,
Marg ( known only as Mrs. Jagges in our home, with great respect from my dad) is fondly remembered, with appreciation for her friendship to our parents, for her sense of humour as a swim team mom, and with great respect for her efforts to make the Allandale Recreation Centre a reality. I am sorry for your loss – our deepest sympathy to your family.
