Funeral Details:

Passed away peacefully at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on June 30, 2014, Marguerite McClellan in her 90th year.

Loving wife of the late James McClellan (1999). She is survived by her children, Don McClellan and Heather McClellan (Peter Dawson) of Barrie and Betty-Ann Samaroo (Kevin) of Etobicoke. Proud grandmother of Rob (Stefany Stanton), Katie, Cooper and Myles. Predeceased by her parents. Also predeceased by three brothers - Thomas Skelly, Edward Skelly, and Bernard Skelly, and three sisters - Theresa Sabourin, Francis McLaughlin, and Agnes Battersby. She will be lovingly remembered by close family members Donna and Steven Battersby, and greatly missed by many nieces and nephews. A lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Barrie branch, Marguerite will be fondly remembered by lifelong friends Alice MacDonald, Ruby Beers, Tonny Schimmel, and many others.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Barrie branch, 410 St. Vincent Street, on Sunday, July 13, 2014, from 2-4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Canadian Cancer Society www.cancer.ca, Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund www.poppyfund.ca , The Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Association of Ontario www.sbhao.on.ca, or a charity of one’s choice.

    I am very sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing and have been thinking of all of you.  I fondly remember your Mom as a lovely person who was always very kind.  I send my condolences to your family.

    Bothwell Crescent was not Grand Central Station (Aunty Marg will know what I mean) but it will always live in my memory as a happy place from my childhood. Bless.
