Passed away peacefully on June 30, 2024 at the age of 90 years.  Beloved wife of the late Dietrich Schweizer.  Loving mother of Pamela Nunes de Souza and her husband Richard.  Cherished grandma of Aharon and Leanne; and great-grandmother of Aharon and Aryana.

Marion was the last surviving sibling of 10 born to Joseph and Mary Anne Baker and will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Formerly of Barrie, Marion relocated to the Whitby area to be closer to family.  Known for her wonderful personality and infectious laughter, she brought joy to all who knew her.  Marion dedicated herself to her career, consistently advancing in her roles.  She cherished travel with her husband and enjoyed time at their summer home in New Brunswick.

A Mass will be held in memory of Marion at Holy Spirit Parish, 650 Essa Rd., on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.  Following a private cremation, her urn will later be privately interred alongside that of her husband’s at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Barrie.
