Marjorie Isobel Lunau

February 9, 1925 - December 22, 2021

Funeral Details:

On Wednesday December 22nd our dear Mom, Marjorie Isobel Lunau (nee Davies) passed peacefully away. Predeceased by her loving husband George.

While we mourn her passing, we are so grateful to have had her with us for nearly 97 years. Mom dedicated her life to her family raising five children Rod (Pat), Don (Jennifer), Suzanne (Dave Carey) Janine (Greg Hotham), predeceased by her youngest Kathy (Michael Lozinski). She leaves behind eleven grandchildren - Adam, Blair, Amanda, Charlene, Andrew, Bryan, Michelle, Scott, Andrew, Laura, Kevin - as well as eight great grandchildren - Georgia, Gracelyn, Xander, Caden, Declan, Violet, Everett and Hudson.

Mom freely gave of herself volunteering with the Girl Guides, past President of the local Kinette Club, moving from there to K40 and was active in her church (St. Giles Anglican). Mom enjoyed her weekly bridge group, curling, cross country skiing, gardening and golfing, walking 9 holes at least twice a week well into her late 80’s. We will miss mom’s strength, sense of humour, guidance and calm manner, but we have a lifetime of warm memories to sustain us. Perhaps the biggest legacy she leaves with us is the example she provided in how to live our lives. Quiet strength with steely determination.

At Mom’s request cremation has taken place and will be followed with a private family interment in the spring.

Donations to Hospice Simcoe or a charity of choice would be greatly appreciated.
