Marjorie Patricia Dunkley

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2026 at Hospice Simcoe in Barrie, at the age of 79 years.

Loving wife of David Dunkley.  Beloved mother of Scott (Stephanie), Ian (Teresa), and Mark (Natasha).  Proud grand mother of Lara, Owen, Savanna, Sidney, Poppy and Izzy.  Dear sister of Freda Thornton and the late Robert Walton (Pamela).  Predeceased by her brother-in-law, Bernard Dunkley, and survived by her sister-in-law, Celia Dunkley.

Born in Gateshead, UK., she graduated Teacher Education at Worcester College, UK. and Acadia University, N.S..  Taught school (P-9) in the Annapolis Valley, N.S., and retired to Ontario.  Marjorie was a very successful and innovative educator who also loved to travel, read, and knit for her grand children.
