Our beloved Mary-Jo died peacefully on Friday, July 26th, 2019, at the age of 49 in the loving embrace of her family. For the past two years, she defied cancer with unwavering courage and determination. When it was time, she accepted her fate with grace, dignity and faith.
Lovingly remembered by her husband, Bill Cameron and their precious children, Liam and Gracie. Predeceased by her father, Eddie Santi. Forever cherished by her mother, Marie Santi and her brothers and sisters, Mark (Barb), Gina (Mike Storr), Anna-Maria (Bruce McDougall), Joey and John (Sandra). Beloved “Meemo” to her nieces and nephews, Christopher, Carly, Michaella, Tessa, Nic, Jake, Maggie, Sean, Sara-Jo, Sam, Lauren, Emma, Megan, Eden and Sophia.
Mary-Jo grew up in Copper Cliff, attended Marymount College and University of Waterloo. She enjoyed her career in environmental compliance and loved to engage colleagues with her quick wit and sense of humour. She was passionate about cooking and travel, but above all, her family held her heart.
We are deeply grateful for the compassion and care provided by the entire team at Hospice Simcoe, by Mary-Jo’s community caregivers, and by her treasured friends and extended family who supported her on her journey.
A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019 from 1:00 to 6:00pm with a time for sharing at 2:30pm. Wyebridge Community Centre, 8340 Count Rd 93, Tiny Township. To honour Mary-Jo’s wishes, please dress casually.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Stanislaus Church, 78 Balsam Street, Copper Cliff on August 10, 2019 at 10:00am.
