Mary "Sue" Golding (nee Ans)
November 26, 1940-November 26, 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mom on her 83rd birthday. She was predeceased by her husband Lorne Golding.
Mom was a good mother, a kind grandmother, a loving wife, and a great friend.
After a long, wonderful teaching career, Mom reconnected with Lorne after many years. They got married and settled in Thunder Bay. She always wanted to retire on Lake Superior, and her wish came true!
When we moved to Barrie in 1976 Mom became a part of the Barrie Canoe Club, where she loved to canoe, kayak, and meet the many people who became lifelong friends.
Mom and Lorne were part of a camp family in Thunder Bay where they had a trailer and spent many summers there meeting new people, playing cards, enjoying happy hour, and spending time by and on the water!
Mom loved spending time with family as she held us all so close. She is survived by her daughter Tracy Raves (John); grandchildren Alyssa Darlington (Shawn), and Robyn Heaslip (Dawson Butter); and great-grandchildren Mason, Millicent, and Valarie.
We will all miss her tremendously.
