Funeral Details: Private Family Arrangements

Passed away peacefully April 13, 2024 at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket.  Beloved wife of the Murray (d.2016).  Mother of David (d.2016) (Pearl), Glenn (Vivian), Mark (Lori), Stephen (d.2003) (Maryanne), and Jean (d.1963).  Grandmother of Christine, Carrie, Luke, Nicole, David, Jodi, Tyson, Adam, and Amber.  Great-grandmother of Xander, Clover, Hailey, Jaxton, Parker, Chelyn, Makaela, Kane, Koen, Archer, and Nora.

 

Merle will be fondly remembered for her ever-present smile, her gracious nature, and her appreciation of kindness. She maintained her dignity and independence until the end, leaving behind a legacy of strength and love.

 

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and nurses on the macu unit at Southlake Regional Health Centre, the staff at Barton Retirement Residence, and HCCSS (Home and Community Care Support Services) for their exceptional care and support.

Private family service will take place, followed by interment at St. Paul’s Cemetery, Innisfil where Merle will be laid to rest next to her husband Murray.
