Michael Clifford Cowden
August 18, 1953 – January 11, 2020
Mike passed away suddenly while visiting family in Barrie, ON. Mike is survived by his sisters Patricia Leavoy (Raymond) of Barrie, Cheryl Cowden of Guelph and brothers Jerry Cowden (Shirley Haley), Richard Cowden (Joanne Tourigny) and David Cowden (Susanne Castilloux) all of North Bay. Mike is also survived by his niece Jessica Cowden and nephews Tyler Cowden (Melanie), Joshua Cowden (Jenna) all of North Bay and Scott Leavoy of Barrie. Mike will be remembered by 7 great nieces and nephews and many friends and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Shirley (nee Malcolm) and Leslie Cowden.
Mike has lived most of his adult life in Ottawa where he had many friends who were like family to him.
Mike has been receiving care at the Heart Institute since 2001. In lieu of flowers, the family would request donations to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation in appreciation for his excellent care.
