Mildred Williamina (Mina) Cruickshank, a beloved family matriarch, passed away peacefully at home on August 3, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on November 13, 1939, to Peter and Mildred Cruickshank she devoted her life to caring for her family and nurturing the bonds that held them together.
Mina was a dedicated mother to 5 children, John, Shari, Steven, Colleen and Tracey, a grandmother, a great-grandmother, and even a great-great-grandmother. A dog mom to her beloved “Little Peanut”. Her commitment to family was evident in everything she did. She was also the oldest to seven siblings, and an Aunt to many, she was Mom or Grandma to the neighborhood kids taking on a role of care and guidance throughout her life.
She was a warrior known for her strength, courage and resilience. Mina faced life's challenges with style and grace; these qualities earned her deep respect and affection from family and friends alike.
Mina’s love and light will continue to shine brightly through her family and all those who were fortunate enough to call her theirs.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in her honour to The SickKids Foundation.
Rest in peace Mom, GMA, GG, Sis, Aunt Mina your memory, strength, guidance and courage will never be forgotten and you will be so missed by everyone who knew you.
We love you to infinity and beyond….xoxo
