Murray Glen Roylance

December 22, 1957 - July 15, 2022

Funeral Details: Celebration of Life on Sunday, August 14, 2022 Utopia Hall, Utopia from 2 p.m. -5 p.m.

“Murray” Glen Roylance passed away at home at the age of 64 with his loving family by his side, after 2 years of a valiant Murray Strong journey.  He left us on Friday, July 15, 2022 at 4:54 pm. Think of him at that time and raise a shot of Drambuie.

Glen was born on December 22, 1957 in Winnipeg and moved to Ontario in his early teens.  He had a successful career in the Automotive industry and was known as a Super Salesman.

Murray lived in Cookstown for 30 years and enjoyed building things (Hogde Pogde Logde on Leech Lake) and his back yard garden while greatly supporting his children’s many exciting activities.  Great family memories were made on the beaches of Laguna Beach and Emerald Isle.  Daddio taught us many lessons of the ocean, which mirrors the ebb and flow of life.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2022 in Utopia at The Utopia Hall from 2 pm - 5 pm.

If so desired, plant and care for a plant or tree of your choice.

Rest easy Murr.

He is survived by his wife Andrea, his children Julia (Luke), Clark and Camille.

Rest easy Murray G. Thanks for being such a great role model for my daughter and for being such a good man.

One of my favourite memories with you is when our girls made it to the Royal! You, Andrea and I spent some time listening and dancing to a band at the hotel. The next day, we watched our girls ride their little hearts out. You always watched Mia (and the rest of your family) with such pride and love.
I always admired your silent strength my friend.
    Till we meet again
Much love to you and your family

My dearest Andrea, Julia, Luke, Clarkie and Chica,

For so long, you have all been, and always will be, part of our lives. Glen’s smile and laughter will stay with us always. There are no words to describe how much he will be missed in our circle of friends. His spirit will live on in the many memories of times we’ve shared together, from the years of watching Santa’s arrival on the many Christmas Eve’s together, to the countless celebrations of one thing or another, then the quiet contemplation of ‘what life is all about’. We love you all so much, and our hearts hurt at the knowing of your profound loss. It is our loss too. May Glen’s peace bring you peace and acceptance of what is surely an unfair ending of a life well-loved.

All our love, always, Auntie Barb and Uncle B

My deepest condolences to you and your whole family Andrea. I’m so saddened by this news. Being his hairdresser for many years, was such a privilege for me, as he was my longest most dedicated client I’ve ever had.. I will miss all the chats we had during every hair cut… He was such a kind hearted and caring person, and so easy to talk to… He talked so much about all his children, and was so proud of all of them..
He will be missed terribly by me, and by so many other people that knew him.

Such a huge loss, thinking of you all…

God saw you getting tired when a cure was not to be.
So He closed His arms around you and whispered “Come to Me”

You didn’t deserve what you went through, so He gave you rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful He only takes the best.

And when we saw you sleeping so peaceful and free from pain,
we could not wish you back to suffer that again.

There are no words that can adequately express how we feel about the loss of sweet Glen.
We will hold him in our thoughts and hope that over time your tears will turn to smiles remembering all the wonderful memories you created as a family.
We would be honoured to plant and nurture a shrub in his memory.
    Much love to you all,
    Steve and Nita

No words can describe the loss that Glen is no longer with us. I worked with Glen for many years at Quorum. We shared a lot of laughs, I was lucky enough to meet Andrea, Julia, Luke & Clark over the years. Glen shared with me the news that he battling with Leukemia in late 2020. That said Glen told me that he was determined and will beat it! I was happy to hear from Glen that a family member was a 100% match for a bone marrow transplant & he was more determined that this was all going to work out. We had many conversations on the phone when he was in the hospital during treatments although he didn’t at times have a lot of energy, he said I’m doing my best to stay positive. Glen loved his family & was proud of all of his children during this difficult time, his beautiful wife Andrea stayed strong along his side. I loved Glen’s laugh, he was a true professional, gentle & loving husband & family man.

To Andrea and the kids, Glen will always be looking over us & you need to know that he is smiling back at you.

Uncle Buck is sending hugs & kisses !!!
