How sad a time for you, Paul and Wendy, and for your mom, Taylor and Chelsey, Marilyn and Todd, and his grandchildren. We never met Owen but followed his story through you over the years. Owen went through a lot and the love of his family was the support he needed to battle and overcome his troubles. His bravery is his legacy.

“We cannot feel saddened over the loss of those we love without first remembering the joy of loving them.

The real sadness would have been never having them in our lives at all”.

    So always “remember”.

    Marilyn and Todd and family,

Owen ( and you Marilyn) were the first friends I made when I Moved to Toronto. Owen was such a kind and generous man and we shall never forget him. Sending our love and healing thoughts to all of you.

We are so very sorry that Owen has passed and know he will be truly missed by his loving family and friends. We cannot imagine how tough this has been for everyone but hopefully your memories will provide peace and solace.

Owen was one of the funniest people I had the privilege of knowing. He had an incredibly sharp wit and loved to tease with the straightest of faces, I, being one of those who fell for it every time.

I remember Owen’s passion for fishing, for groundskeeping – his lawn and gardens were immaculate – and for
country music but most of all the passion for his family. His grandchildren were his angels.

May time lighten the load and lesson the sadness and leave you with the fondest of memories of Owen.

    With love,
    Katherine Browne and Bob Quehl
