It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that the family of Patricia Elizabeth Mattie announce the passing of Pat on May 3rd, 2022. Pat passed away at the age of 73 surrounded by family after a long hard year of battling ovarian cancer.

She will be deeply missed by husband Stan, daughter Debra & late grandson Aaron, son Kevin (Kim), grandchildren Carson, Jordan, Elyssa & Alex, brother Rick (Teresa), nephews Scott (Caitlyn) & Dylan, great niece Genevieve, great nephew Rory, Rhonda Prieur, Diane Tellier, Barb Tonn, numerous extended family members and dear friends. Predeceased by parents Milton & Marie Hannigan

People called her by many names, Pat, Patsy, Mom, Nana, Auntie Pat, Momma Mattie, Bestie but no matter the name, everyone would describe her the same way. A strong and loving lady. She loved her family, her friends, her Maple Leafs, Blue Jays, Raptors and not necessarily in that order. She loved any sport she could watch but her most favourite sport was any that she could watch her kids or grandkids play.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the nurses and doctors at the RVH Cancer Centre & Bayshore. A special thank you to Dr. Dickson, Dr Van Walraven, & Nurse Robyn Barrett.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Canadian Cancer Society www.cancer.ca , Canadian Mental Health Association www.cmha.ca or a charity of your choice.

Please accept our condolences – Pat was a great Baseball player and she taught us a lot. Her kindness & patience are remembered well. We certainly have a lot of fond memories. From the three of us from the Tottenham Ladies Lob-Ball – Jocelyn, Pat Higgins & Joan Currie.

Pat and her family and our family were neighbours for many years. Her children were friends of our children and they grew up together. Pat’s kindness and her wonderful smile are what I willl always remember; that beautiful twinkle in her eyes which shone from inside. I am sure that it is adding to Heaven’s radiance now that she is free from her suffering
