Funeral Details:

                 Patrick Charles Duggan

                               03/11/1965-01/15/2017

Our beloved, Patrick Charles Duggan, took his final breath on January 15th and transitioned sweetly from this world to the next. Serenely, in the arms of his cherished wife and brother, he died as he had lived - with courage, grace, positivism and an unending concern for others.

Devoted husband to Kelly, father to Carter, son to Angus and Donna (d), brother to Jayson, uncle to Noah, Ethan, Adam, Max and Benjamin, and godfather to Gabriel, he touched the lives of many as a dear friend, nephew, brother/son-in-law, cousin and colleague.

With his brilliant flame extinguished far too soon, after a brief and valiant battle with cancer, it is now up to us to spread his love. We know your hearts are breaking just as much as ours, so we invite you to please channel your grief by committing a random act of kindness in Patrick's name.

Let's be grateful for each day, be kind to one another, honour nature, be strong advocates for healthcare, education and citizenship. And, let's always remember to "Chase the Sunshine" in his name. He would have loved that.

We are forever grateful for your love and support throughout our journey...

Kelly, Carter, Angus, Jayson, Jessica and Benjamin

To the whole Duggan family, my deepest condolences.  Even thought Patrick and I lost touch after we both got married, he and your family were still on my mind and in my heart.  I will always remember his passion, intelligence and spirit.  I will always regret not keeping in contact.  Although those wonderful memories will live  on in my mind forever.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you while you deal with his passing and forever.

    Karen

I am in complete shock having seen the announcement, that was forwarded via email.  Patrick had a bright smile that lit up the office the short time he worked for Redberry.  I was sad to see him leave our office when he did, and his passing is just unbelievable!  My full condolence to you Kelly, and the children.  Please find strength in the realization that others are grieving with you.  I can only imagine the hurt you’re feeling, but also realize he has likely left you, the family, a wealth of dear memories to be cherished.  May his final suffering be done, and he rest in peace.

    Dear Kelly,
Ian and I are so very saddened to hear of the passing of Patrick. To lose a loving father and husband at such a young age and to such a horrible disease, is inconceivable.

The last time we had coffee, you told me about the wonderful time you had as a family in Belize, scuba diving and you were getting ready for your next amazing family adventure to Italy.  Hold all those memories close.

We are never prepared for these kinds of things in life, and it is never easy to say goodbye to our husband, best friend and soul mate. We hope that with the passage of time, wonderful memories of Patrick, and with good friends and family about, that your grieving will be lessened and that you will find peace.

Ian and I want to extend our heartfelt sympathies to you, Carter and the rest of the family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, and we will “Chase the Sunshine” in Patrick’s name.

    With our deepest sympathies,

    Lisa and Ian Veitch

It was with great sadness that we learned of Patrick’s passing. He was an extraordinary man. He showed me such kindness and compassion when I was dealing with my daughter’s diagnosis and shared stories of perseverance and words of support. There are many at Redberry who will mourn deeply his passing. May you always hold fond memories of his life with you: I know I will. Please accept our heartfelt condolences.

I’m deeply saddened and shocked to learn of Patrick’s passing.  While we may have started out as competitors, ultimately our relationship evolved as we found ways to collaborate and work together.  Heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the Duggan family, and may your great memories provide you peace and comfort in these challenging times.

    Hi Kelly,
Today I was searching to try and reconnect with a very good friend from long ago, only to find that I was too late. I knew Patrick in the late 80’s and 90’s. We had some great times together, and then life got in the way.

I was walking last night and he came to my wandering mind, so today I decided to try and reconnect. I never had the pleasure of meeting you, and as such, I know this maybe a bit strange, but I wanted to write to let you know how sorry I am to hear that Patrick has passed on, far too soon!

    Take care,
    Rod
