Born on February 6th, 1958, passed away on Monday, February 24th, 2020 at Southlake Hospital in Newmarket, Ontario at the age of 62. Born in Richmond Hill, Peter lived with a life-long illness that caused him a great deal of pain, but never did a day pass where he did not find some reason to laugh and smile. His warm smile and quick witted, sarcastic humour will be missed by everyone to whom he was close, especially his parents Pat and John, brothers Philip, Martin and Steven, sister-in-law Joan as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and life-long friends. We will greatly miss Peter’s presence and invite you to attend our Celebration of his Life on Saturday, March 7th at the Knights of Columbus, 93 Berczy Street, Barrie, Ontario from 12 noon to 2pm.
Miss Me But Let Me Go!
When I come to the end of the road,
And the sun has set for me,
I want no rites in a gloom filled room.
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little but not too long
And not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love we once shared,
Miss me - but let me go.
For this is a journey we all must take,
And each must go alone.
It's all part of the master plan,
A step on the road home.
When you are lonely and sick at heart
Go to the friends we know
And bury your sorrow in doing good deeds.
Miss me - but let me go!
