Funeral Details:

Peter Richard Archibald Fry May 17, 1935 -- October 22, 2016

Big Brother, Uncle, Grandpa, and Dad – Peter,  the man, the legend, left us this October 22, 2016. We will miss him forever.

As the eldest of 11 kids, necessity made Peter an innovator and builder - of character, cottages, jokes and boats. He was a feeder of birds, an unofficial champion waterskier and the original Muskoka hooligan - a track star, basketball MVP, and cross-word puzzle prodigy.

His indomitable spirit meant he never gave up on anything, including his health, the people around him, his pets and extended family. Peter was a man of great compassion who faced illness with courage, dignity and humour. It was only until his recent fall that he was unable to overcome this final challenge. He came home one last time and watched the Argos lose again with his high school sweetheart, Betty Lou, whom he dearly loved.

There are too many of us to name, and too many stories to share. Some funny, some kooky some poignant. Through it all we loved him and will always miss him.

Celebration of Life Sat November 5, 2pm Woods Park Retirement Residence 110 Lillian Crescent, Barrie, ON. In lieu of flowers  we encourage donations to the Victoria Haig Education Fund or the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County.
