It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Raphaël Clément Maurice at Lakeridge Health Hospital on Monday, January 12th, 2026. He is finally at peace after a valiant battle with lung cancer.

Beloved father of Lisa Young (Late Al), and Shane Maurice (Melissa). Proud Papère to Stacey, Justin, and Gabriel. We find comfort in knowing that he is reunited with his parents and siblings.

Raphaël was a man of devout faith and a member of the Knights of Columbus through his Church. He was warm and generous to all and will be dearly missed by many.

As per our father’s wishes, there will be a funeral/celebration of life in late spring at Paroisse Sainte-Croix in Tiny Township. Details will be shared by family at a later date.

Our family expresses our deep gratitude to the wonderful staff in the Palliative Care Unit at Lakeridge Health Hospital for their unwavering care, commitment and compassion.

In keeping with our father’s spirit of giving, in lieu of flowers, donations to your local Food Bank would be appreciated.

Grandpa was simply the kindest and warmest soul we have ever known. Thank you for filling our lives with so much laughter and sweetness. We will miss your fun-loving spirit more than words can say. We hope you are finding peace now, perhaps even riding a tractor through the most beautiful fields. We love you so much.
