It is with heavy hearts that the family announces Reinhold Franz Nink, retired Master Furniture Maker and Designer passed away quietly in his sleep on June 3, 2024, at the age of 86. He was born in 1937, in Darmstadt, Germany and immigrated to Canada in 1956. Reinhold resided with his wife, Margaretha in Oro-Medonte, ON, Canada.
Reinhold had a deep passion for tennis and gardening, spending countless hours indulging in these favourite hobbies. He also enjoyed travelling with his wife, exploring new cultures and experiencing different cuisines.
Reinhold's love for tennis was evident, as he played the sport passionately and followed it closely. His dedication to the game enriched his life and brought him joy.
Reinhold was happily married to Margaretha for 66 years, a union filled with love and cherished memories. He leaves behind his wife Margaretha and his daughter Monika, who will forever remember his guidance and love.
Reinhold Franz Nink will be remembered for his remarkable talent as a furniture maker and designer, his love for tennis, and his adventurous spirit. All who knew him will greatly miss his warmth, creativity, and kind-hearted nature. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

So sorry to hear of Reinhold’s passing albeit peacefully. We lived on Howard at #28 and often enjoyed a chat with you when you and Reinhold were riding by with your bikes. Our boys were likely up to some crazy fun in our yard.
I always admired the lovely bond that you had with each other.

Posted on: Tuesday, April 22, 2025Dear Peggy and Monica, sorry to hear about Reinhold a hadn’t heard from you guys in a long time so just thinking about you guys and found his memorial always felt like you were family and related to us by a long distance but still part of the Nink family I am never forgotten our get-togethers once at your place with the kids. Little who we’re all young at the time and when Reinhold and Peggy came and visit us in traverse City, he reminded me a lot of my dad if you ever get down this way, please come and spend time with us our kids are now Jacob 43. April 41 and Ashley /34 if you get a chance let me know how you guys are doing. We have seven grandkids now. Still working.
