Everyone lost a wonderful person, and great man. He was the man you wanted to be around on a glum day, and even more fun on a cheerful day. He was incredibly smart and wise. He will forever be remembered and all the memories will be cherished to the max. We love you always. Till we meet again.

Time ticks along. It holds all of our wants. Our wishes. Our dreams. It costs nothing. It’s worth everything. It’s imperceptible heart beats rhythmically onwards on our darkest days and brightest moments.

If we are so lucky, the pulse of time brings us despair. Despair so that we can come to know joy and jubilation through it’s juxtaposition. Just as we cannot come to know the sun of the morning without the dark of the night, we cannot come to experience happiness without sadness.

I count it as blessing to have come to have know and loved Richard. For all the sadness we have come to experience in his passing, it was because he brought us so much joy in his being.

Another angel get it’s wings. We love you Richard, because of how we have come to know ourselves through you.

Richards life was unique and his own. He had a good heart, a silly sense of humour, and life experiences with people and places around the globe. In my minds eye Ill remember him best when he was placing his forehead against the forehead of one of the many wonderful Great Danes and he and Lisa raised, a kind and gentle Doggy Dad who loved his wife and his “girls”.

His sun may have set, but memories of this good man will shine on. Rest Peacefully “Dicardo”.

In Loving Memory of Our Friend

With a Cheshire smile and a twinkle bright,
He’d light up a room, pure joy and delight.
A heart full of humor, so loving and kind,
A better friend you’d be hard-pressed to find.

He traveled the world, both far and near,
An engineer whose work drew cheer.
From every land, from every shore,
He gathered friends, and then some more.

A life well-lived, with laughter and grace,
Leaving warm memories no time can erase.
Cherished by all, in each heart he’ll stay,
    Forever remembered, day by day.
