With heavy hearts, our family shares the news of the sudden passing of Richard John Wyatt, who left us on June 1, 2026, at the age of 72. Born in Toronto, Ontario, Rick was the cherished son of Irene Wynne and Jack Wyatt.

Rick leaves behind his loving and devoted partner of twenty‑three years, Natalie Cadeau, and his beloved daughter, Siobhan Murphy-Wyatt, who brought him immense pride and joy. He will be deeply missed by his niece Marcy Baldry (Randy Parsons); nephews Mark Major (Laurie), Raymond Wyatt, and Rusty Wyatt (Danielle Sippley); as well as his great‑nieces Hayley Baldry and Marinna Major, and great‑nephew Rhett Wyatt. He is also remembered by his brother‑in‑law, Don Pace, and by many family members across the wider family circle.

He was predeceased by his parents, as well as by his brother Randy Wyatt and his sister Lynda Pace.

Throughout his life, Rick built strong relationships through the many jobs he held, always earning the respect and friendship of those he worked alongside. He was also a dedicated business owner for decades, proudly operating RW Cartage, where he formed countless connections.

Rick’s life was shaped by the years he spent on Six Mile Lake in his youth, and he was fortunate to retire at the place that brought him peace and contentment. If you were ever looking for him, you could be sure to find him moving around his property — tinkering away at one project or another, fixing, building, painting, planting, or filling the bird feeders. He found comfort and purpose in the familiar rhythm of tending to their property, a place that meant everything to him.

Rick’s life in boat racing spanned many years — from building and racing boats to proudly supporting his brother and nephews in their racing endeavours. He was a devoted fan of his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs, cheering them on with unwavering loyalty season after season. He was also an extremely loyal friend and family member: steadfast, dependable, and always ready with a helping hand or a good laugh. And when he wasn’t on the water, watching the game, or following PGA golf, he enjoyed working his way around the golf course, taking pleasure in both the challenge and the company.

He is already deeply missed by his friends and family, who will forever hear him laughing the loudest at his own jokes. His warmth, humour, and unmistakable presence will be carried in their hearts always.
