Strain, Rita Winnifred May: Passed away peacefully with her daughters at her side on Tuesday April 23, 2019 at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket, Ontario. Rita Strain of Newmarket and formerly of Gravenhurst at the age of 82 years. Beloved wife of James W. Strain and the late James Russell White. Loving mother of Brenda Grant (Sam) and Barbara Gill (Wayne). Rita will be fondly remembered by Jim Strain’s children Robert (Dana), Bruce (Kelly) and Scott (Yvonne). She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Karen (Mike), Andrew (Kim), Jacob, Danielle (Fraser), Carleigh (Nathan), Kaitlynn (Arthur), Britney, Jessica and Will. Special great grandmother of Kaitlyn and Charlie. Dear sister in law of Henry. Predeceased by her siblings and their spouses Bruce (Shirley), Donald (Gladys), and Betty. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held from Victory Baptist Church (18408 Yonge St, East Gwillimbury, ON., L9N 0J4) on Friday May 3rd, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow.
