Passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026 at the age of 71 years.
Loving father of Jennifer (Ali) and Ryan (Trish). Cherished grandfather of Mira, Peri, Aleena, McKenlee, and Rylan. Much loved brother of John (Yvonne), Katie (John), Natalie (Scott), Betty (Bob), Helena, Marie Ann (d. John), and the late Ron. Bob will also be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Bob proudly owned and operated Bayfield Plumbing from 1980 until his retirement in 2013. A hardworking and conscientious individual, he took great pride in the business he built and the work he accomplished throughout his career.
In September 2013, Bob suffered a life-changing medical emergency. Despite the many challenges that followed, he fought hard in his efforts to regain the independence and life he loved.
Bob had a big heart and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need, whether family or friends. He loved sports and was known for his competitive spirit. He enjoyed playing hockey (where he was often called “Hack” or “Wack”), baseball (earning the nickname “Flash”), and golf, where he was jokingly remembered as perhaps the best club-thrower around, sometimes even leaving one high up in a tree. Some of Bob’s happiest moments were spent participating in travel golf and hockey tournaments.
He was a devoted father who supported his children in pursuing their dreams and goals. Bob also enjoyed travelling and RV camping and had a great love for the theatre. For many years, he held front row seats at the Georgian Theatre and rarely missed a show.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Mulcaster Mews for their compassion, care, and support, you all took such good care of Bob.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
