Ronald Mullin

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Ronald Mullin announces his sudden passing at RVH on September 22, 2026, at the age of 82, with his loving family by his side.

Ron was the beloved husband and love of Teresa’s life for 59 wonderful years. He will be deeply missed by his children, Janice Mullin and Curtis Mullin (Sarita), and was a cherished Grandpa to his beautiful granddaughter, Emme Mullin, who will always remember his warm smile and gentle heart.

Ron is survived by his sister, Judy Pagano (Peter); his brother, Carl (Nicole); brother-in-law, Bill Cumming; and sister-in-law, Denise Millions. He was predeceased by his parents, Beatrice and Gordon Mullin of Moncton, New Brunswick; his brother, Morris; sister-in-law, Kathy Cumming; and brothers-in-law, Jim and Rick (Debra) Millions of Porcupine.

Ron will also be deeply missed by his many nieces and nephews, with whom he shared countless special memories throughout the years.

Ron was known for his gentle soul, quiet strength, and kind heart. He had a way of bringing love and laughter to those around him, and he leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories that will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

He will be especially missed by the family’s golden retriever, Maple, who loved their daily walks together to the mailbox. Those simple moments were among the many things that brought Ron joy.

Ron was a devoted sports fan and especially loved cheering on his favourite team, the Toronto Blue Jays. He also enjoyed his winters watching the Toronto Maple Leafs, surrounded by his favourite people. His children, Janice and Curtis, were his greatest accomplishments, and nothing brought him more happiness than spending time with his family.

Ron spent many years working for Thomson Newspapers and later enjoyed his time working at Casino Rama. He loved travelling with his family and treasured visits with family and friends, as well as spending time cottaging in Northern Ontario.

Family was at the heart of Ron’s life. Whether travelling, cottaging, watching sports, walking Maple, or simply enjoying time together, it was the people he loved who brought him the greatest happiness.

Ron’s gentle presence will be profoundly missed, and his absence will forever be felt by the many people whose lives he touched. His memory, his laughter, and the love he gave so freely will live on in his family and in all those who were fortunate enough to know him.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Sanders and the healthcare team, as well as the emergency department staff and cancer clinic team, for their compassion, support, and care of Ron.

A visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Saturday, October 10^th, 2026, at 11 am until the time of the memorial service at 12 pm.

Ron will be forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.
