Funeral Details: A celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2024.
Peacefully on Jan 27, Ron passed away surrounded by family at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, ON.
Ron was born in Hearst Ontario to Ruby (Robinson) and Nelson Garnett. Ron was blessed with 10 siblings: Gordon, Doreen, Janet, Elaine, Nelson, Lyla, John, Peggy, Joan and Nancy. Ron’s family continued with 3 children: Kevin, Karen and Gary, 3 grandchildren: Uri, Chantel and Nicole and 6 great grandchildren: Bentley, Aliyah, Maddix, Daxton, Nixon and Harper. Ron will also be missed by his partner Jean Belanger and her extended family.
Ron rocked the “Garnett” traits of determination, stubbornness, excellent work ethic, logic, loyalty and loved adventure, his family, friends, ice cream, Werther’s candies, playing crib, the horse track and his tea.
Ron will be remembered as a proud member of local 46 (Steamfitter) and AA.
Dad, Grampa, Great Grampa, Partner, Friend, Mentor and “Man in the Castle” – You will be forever missed.
A celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2024.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Ron’s memory to Ontario SPCA and Humane Society
