SWEETLAND (nee BUTLER), Ruby Maxine:
Born January 20, 1931 in Port Rexton, NL and peacefully passed away at the age of 88 on the morning of March 28, 2019. Predeceased by parents John and Clara Butler and her sister Geraldine Hammond. Beloved wife of the late Charlie Sweetland; Loving mother to Wayne (Joan), Bev Osler (Pete), Dave (Lee), Glenn (Joanne) and Donna Dawe (Gary); Cherished grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother to many. Loved by all who knew her for her kind spirit, infectious laugh and great sense of humor. Ruby will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
A special thank you to the staff at Cedarvale Retirement Home in Keswick for their care of Ruby over the years and to the wonderful nurses in the palliative care unit at McKenzie Health Center. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
A Celebration of Ruby's life will be held at the Aurora Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 385 (105 Industrial Parkway North, Aurora) on Monday, April 1 from 7 - 9 pm. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family to honor our dear Ruby.
