My cousin Shay will always hold a special place in my heart. We didn’t get to see each other often but when we did it was like no time had passed. Most of all, I will remember the sparkle that Shay always had in his eye. It was usually mischievous but it lit up his whole face. His was definitely a life cut too short. He will be missed dearly. I send all my love to the family during this difficult time.

I am so sorry for your loss. I had a very strong connection with Shay during group and we became very close friends in a short amount of time. He was such a beautiful soul.. his personality was so strong and kind. Shay helped me through many tough days and nights and I will be forever grateful for his support.

I was lucky to be with him on the morning of May 10th and had a beautiful breakfast with him. That morning will stay with me forever

Hello, Shay was my roommate at the RVH for 72 hrs at the end of March. In such a short time I got to know a man that had been through a life time of challenges. The one thing that many people who knew him have said….. his sense of humour was one of his biggest strengths.
I will never forget him or the guidance he gave me during our brief relationship.

RIP Shay. I got to respect your strengths, your humor, your commitment and how much you cared for and looked after your friends at Raptor. Even through the most difficult of times we shared at Raptor, your core values and strengths never wavered. You were a warrior, the likes of which even the vikings would be proud.

Happy heavenly birthday Shay …. Im sure you’re most likely laughing at heavenly ? Haha well even you with your dark humour would have made it to heaven! As every day goes on not a day passes you don’t cross my mind and im sure you know as I speak with you daily and sometimes out loud. Your intelligence and wittiness oh how I used to be upset when I was challenged always lol I would take in a heart beat just to hear you say “that’s wrong aly , We never know who’s with us until they are gone and for that matter I am always wishing I could have been there more to support you. You made me smile and laugh and for the most part very happy and proud to have you as my partner. We miss you so much Shay.. love you to the moon and back!

P.s I may have a tiny drink to celebrate but as you know I barely drink anymore… cheers my love till we meet again!!!
