Funeral Details: At her request, there will be no funeral or service. Instead, we will each hold our cherished memories of her close to our hearts.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Shirley Maw (Minnikin) at the age of 92.
Beloved wife of the late George Maw, and loving mother of Cathy (John), Ronnie (predeceased), David (Marsha), and Andy (predeceased) (Teresa).
Cherished grandmother of Sandra, Amanda, Kate, Brittany, Brooke, Erika, Natasha, and Erin (predeceased); great-grandmother of Niki, Jordan, Taylor, Charlie (predeceased), George, Jax, and D.J.; and great-great-grandmother of Tyler and Elijah.
Fondly remembered by her nieces Susan and Wendy.
Shirley loved the simple joys of life, camping, fishing, and birdwatching (especially wrens). Her garden was her pride and joy, and she had an incredible artistic talent that began when she was very young. She could often be found by a lake with her sketch pad in hand, capturing the beauty around her and in later years, barns became her passion.
The last of six siblings, Shirley often spoke fondly of her family and the memories they shared.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
