With profound sadness, the Manti family would like to share the news of the passing of Sylvia Carmen Victoria Manti. Sylvia passed peacefully in her 90th year at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie on May 12th, 2026, surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
Sylvia was the beloved wife of the late Achille Manti (better known as Kelly Manti) for 59 years. She is predeceased by her brothers, Maurice and Domenic, and she will be sadly missed by her youngest brother, Felix.
Sylvia was a loving mother to six children: Orlando (Suzanne, who passed in 2023), Dario (Judith), Pierino (Catherine), Robert (Sylvie), Elena (Ion), and Dino (Jacqueline). Her 5 grandchildren, Sonya, Melinda, Devon, Nicholas and Jonathan, will always remember her love, laughter and empathy.
Sylvia’s family gives special recognition to her health care team at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre dialysis clinic, and to her loving youngest son, Dino, who provided her with devoted weekly care for the last 10 years. Cremation has been entrusted to Peaceful Transition.
In lieu of flowers, Sylvia has requested memorial contributions are made to the Hospital for Sick Children or Covenant House.
