Weir, Thelma Marion:
It is with great sadness we announce that Thelma Marion Weir (nee Poole) passed on January 18, 2021 at Roberta Place Long-term Care. She was in her 92nd year.
Thelma is predeceased by her parents, husband Don Weir, 5 siblings, and is survived by her brother Don Poole. She will be dearly missed by her many nieces and nephews as well as her step-children Don Jr. and June and their families.
She grew up on the family's turkey farm on Poole Road in Midhurst, and went on to a life of adventure with Don. They loved heading out in their RV, meeting new friends along the way, Thelma with her camera ever at the ready. She loved her Swiss Chalet ribs at her family dinners, farm-fresh tomato sandwiches, and hugs. Thelma was full of fun, laughter, kindness, and love. In her later years, she might not have remembered everyone's name but she sure knew who belonged to her.
Many heartfelt thanks to the staff of Roberta Place in their care of Thelma. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers or donations, please get vaccinated.

Posted on: Saturday, February 6, 2021Mom and Dad, Dorothy and Everett Rugman, would often take us to visit Don and Thelma when we were kids. I remember what kind, soft-spoken, lovely people they each were. Please accept my most sincere condolences for your loss.
