Thomas W. Brooks
After a short, valiant fight with cancer we announce with great sadness the peaceful passing at home of Thomas W. Brooks (1934 - 2015) on Saturday, October 24, 2015.
Tom was the loving husband of Ann Marie (Bedore) and much loved father of Conrad, his wife Pauline of Australia.
He was predeceased by parents George and Daisy - siblings; Sylvia, Harry, Victor, Winnifred, Stanley and Robert. Survived by Sid (Joyce), Evelyn (Mike), Jean (Jack), Jim (Eleanor), Brenda (Frank), and Ken. Many nieces and nephews.
He was employed by Bethlehem Steel Co. In Marmora, Ontario, decided to return to University in 1970.
Tom graduated Cum Laude in 1974 from University of Western Ontario, with a degree in Physical Therapy. He and his family then moved to Bracebridge in 1978 when he became the head of the Physio Department at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital.
A long time member of Masonic Lodge 360 Bracebridge, Scottish Rite Barrie and Rameses Temple Toronto, and Past President of the Muskoka Shrine Club.
No job was ever too big for Tom when it came to helping the kids at Shriners.
A Masonic Service will be held on November 7, 2015 at South Muskoka Curling and Golf Club, 10 Golf Course Rd beginning at 2pm, followed by a Celebration of Life. Reception to follow.
