Valerie Overend (Elko)
With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Valerie Overend (Elko) on Sat, May 27th, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family & friends. She will be forever loved by Dennis (husband), her daughters "the girls", Michelle (Brian), Denise (Jason), Lisa (Kevin) and Teresa. She was cherished by grandchildren, Ciera, Mya, Easton and Bentley; along with being Nanny Val to the Overend grandchildren.
She will be dearly missed by her brother Jackie (Gene), cousins Wendell & Carolyn and remembered by her many friends & family across Ontario and Nova Scotia for her uniqueness and abundant personality.
A special thank you to all the Doctors, Nurses and volunteers at RVH and Hospice Simcoe for their care and support.

Posted on: Tuesday, May 30, 2023To my beautiful nieces Michelle, Denise, Lisa and Teresa my heart is heavy at your loss. We may have moved further away but when Val and I got on the phone it was like we always seemed to pick up where we left off. I will miss our long conversations into the early mornings. We would laugh, reminisce about happier times and even cry a little too.
Always remember, your Mom isn’t gone. She will always be with you in spirit and in your hearts. Her suffering has ended. She’s home with her Mom and Dad.
