Viola, 92, passed away peacefully to her heavenly mansion on Saturday October 1, 2022. She was born in Muscogee Florida, the daughter of Elias McQueen and Mattie Lee Williams of Fort Deposit Alabama.
Over Seventy years ago Viola McQueen – Carty met Robert Fenwick Carty, of Saint John New Brunswick, a soldier in the Canadian Armed Services through correspondence and were married in Florida. Viola McQueen – Carty moved from Florida and she and Robert Fenwick Carty settled in Camp Petawawa, Ontario.
Viola was preceded in death by her husband Robert Fenwick Carty, and sons William James Carty and Albert David Carty and bothers Orrie, Pete, Sam, Joe, and Booze McQueen.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory, 1 son, Donald Gordon Carty of Barrie, 3 daughters, Rebecca Fern Carty of Barrie, Roberta Lorraine Ciric of Serbia of and Ruby Lee McQueen of Atlanta; 17 grand children, 38 great grand children and 2 great great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, and other relatives and special friends.
