William “Bill” Allan Brown

Funeral Details: William liked things quiet, didn’t like fussiness, wasn’t religious, so his send off will be what he would have wanted. A “CELEBRATION OF LIFE” will be held on THURSDAY SEPT. 14, 2023 At 2383 Sandy Trail Innisfil, Ont. at the Nail home from 1-5pm. 

William “Bill” Allan Brown (83) of Belle Ewart, Ontario passed away on September 5th, 2023, surrounded by family after a short illness. William was born to Elizabeth and Alexander Brown on July 24th, 1940in Airdrie Scotland. Predeceased by his siblings Ellen, Douglas and Daniel.

 

He completed his 5 year Apprenticeship in the works of a “Turner” on Sept. 30th, 1961. William completed all classes of Turning Lathes and Vertical Boring Machines at Murray & Patterson Ltd. Mechanical Engineers of Brown Street, Coatbridge Scotland.

 

He married the love of his life, Anna Eveline Bustard on December 12,1962 in Coatbridge Scotland after a long courtship. In 1968, He arrived in Canada in search of a career with his Mechanical Engineer license, with his wife and 3 daughters, Carol Anne, Elizabeth Jane, and Pamela in tow. They were expecting their 4th child, Alexander Allan Brown, who was born in Canada. (The only Canadian amongst us!! ) Once settled in Canada, he became a very talented Machinist and later owned his own company called, WAB Machining Ltd. for many years. He retired in his early 70’s. During his long career, he obtained a United States Patent on December 18, 1984 for inventing an original design creation for Hex dyes (tool part) Patent #4,488,841. He would often have a lathe or two in the garage at home which would shake the house at times and a workshop out back! He still has a lathe and tools out in his shed now.

 

William was strong willed and could be stubborn at times, but had a great big heart for his family. He was highly intelligent and he could fix , build, or design anything. A great craftsman of wood or metal.His favorite pastime was sitting on his swing in his backyard, feeding the squirrels, chipmunks and birds, while having a beer. William also enjoyed watching old fashioned movies and Cornation Street with his wife. Also enjoyed his Ice Capps to the end!!

 

William is survived by his wife ANNA EVELINE BROWN, of 61 years, his 3 daughters, CAROL ANNE WELLS(Brown) (husband Lorran “Randy”) of Barrie, ELIZABETH JANE PANCHYSHYN (Brown) (husband Timothy) of Everett, PAMELA NAIL(Brown)(husband Kevin) of Innisfil. He is predeceased by his son, ALEXANDER ALLAN BROWN (2013)(wife Patricia) Survived also by his 7 Grandchildren, Eveline Overton(Wells) (husband Ian), Shaun William Wells, Samantha Nail (partner Khoi), Veronica Icess Panchyshyn (partner Andrew), Matthew Nail (Fiance Lindsay), Aaron Nail (girlfriend Guari), Amy Nail and 1 Great Grandson , Jackson Dalziel Wells. He left this world on his own terms surrounded by his family. He will be dearly missed.

    The man accomplished it all…..family is priority consequently he leaaves a great legacy.

    In life, family is most important, and to be loved..

      Dad was a great man, husband, father, grandfather
      and great-grandfather. He worked hard to give his family a good home. Always complimenting how beautiful his wife my mom was. He would be there for you if you called and always put family first. It was beautiful to watch his wife, children

      grandchildren and great grandson say good bye to him with such love and respect. Dad would of been proud. Love you always and forever xxxx

    Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. We will cherish the great memories, appreciate the stories, hospitality, support and love he gave us. We will always Miss and Love him.
