It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of William “Bill” Dennis Nobes on June 30, 2025, at the age of 79.

A longtime resident of Innisfil and more recently of Barrie, Ontario, Bill was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He was a passionate lifelong soccer fan who not only cheered from the sidelines but actively shaped the local soccer community. For many years, he coached minor league soccer in Innisfil and was a founding member of the Barrie Packers Senior Soccer Team, a legacy that lives on in the many players and families he inspired.

Bill co-owned and operated a business in Tottenham until his well-earned retirement. He was known for his warm presence, good humour, and deep love for his family.

Bill will be deeply missed by his devoted wife of 59 years, Janet, and their sons Tim (Jill), Collin, and Brod (Carol). He was a proud grandfather to Devon, Brendon, Kayla, and Paige, and a loving great-grandfather to Madison and Kiara. He also leaves behind his brother Frank (Barb), sister-in-law Noreen (Keith), and brother-in-law Roger (Natasha), along with many cherished nieces, nephews, and longtime friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Royal Victoria Regional Heath Centre would be greatly appreciated by the family. https://www.rvhkeeplifewild.ca/donate-today/

Rest in peace, my love. You will always be in our hearts.

It has been my privilege to know Bill for over 60 years. He was not just my brother in law but a profound presence in my life and that of my daughters and their families.
He was a passionate football enthusiast whose love of the game was matched by his love for family and friends.
My sister Janet and I travelled between Canada and England as often as we were able. By doing so we were able to know and love each other’s children and grandchildren. Bill and Janet have nurtured a loving close knit family who will miss him dearly.
My partner Keith and I hold such precious memories of the many holidays we shared with Bill and Janet including their very recent visit.
I pray that all his loved ones find the strength to carry them to a place where all their memories of Bill are the happy ones.

As I remember many special times together as couples over the past almost 30 years, I am grateful for Bill’s friendship.
It is difficult to believe he has passed.
He was so likeable and funny.
I imagine him with our Henry and his other Mates playing golf or kicking a soccer ball around in a field of bliss.
Our family here and in the UK send their heartfelt condolences to you Janet, your family and friends.
I pray you find peace and love in the memories you have created all through the years.
    Much love
    Jackie & family.
Rest in Peace dear Bill 🙏♥️
