Funeral Details: Private family arrangements

It is with great sadness that the family of Winnie Zavislak announces her passing at the age of 88.

Winnie (nee Krupa) was preceded in death by her husband Albert, her sisters Helen, Beni, Laura and her brothers Stan and Steve.  She is survived by her sister Millie and daughters Patricia and April.

Winnie loved reading, word puzzles, gardening and making crafts.  On clear nights, she enjoyed stargazing.  One of her favourite things to do was hold court on the porch. Everyone was welcome, especially if they brought her a Tim's.  Her laughter and wisdom will be sorely missed.

I can remember Winnie from the time I was 4 and she was 15. She would take me everywhere with her and Betty. Over the years we were close and often visited together with Aunt Helen and Uncle Johnny. She was always full of fun and spoke her mind but always to the best of one’s interest.

My condolences to her family. She is greatly missed.
