Yvonne Fahey

August 24, 1933 - August 16, 2021

Funeral Details:

It is with the heaviest of hearts we announce the passing of our mom, Yvonne, on August 16, 2021 with her 5 children at her side.  She was married to William J. Fahey who proceeded her in death in 1974.  She was the most amazing mom to Linda(Alan), Bernard (Alice), Bonnie (the late John), William, and Allan.  Grandmother to Jennifer, Matthew, Jill, Meaghan, Tracy, Katie, Sean, Adrianne.  Great-grandmother to Morgan, Connor, Sophie, Audrey, Emma, Evelyn, Samuel, Bryson, Maisie.  Predeceased by her parents Edward and Emma Monette and her sister Rosemarie.  Lovingly remembered and missed so much by her brother Edward Monette (Jacqueline) nephew Michel (Brigitte) and niece Suzanne (Trevor).  She had the opportunity before passing to visit with or FaceTime all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Even to the end making us all laugh and smile.  She enjoyed her life and truly loved her family, instilling many strong values that continue to serve us well throughout our lives.  Mom was a long time member of Rebekah Lodge, Barrie, and enjoyed her meetings and friendships with the Ladies.  Thank you to the staff at Mill Creek Care Centre and a special thank you to the wonderful staff at Mariposa House Hospice Orillia.  A Celebration of her Life will be held next summer “at the cottage” and mom will be laid to rest with her parents and sister in Blind River, Ontario.  In memory of Yvonne, donations in her memory may be made to Mariposa House Hospice or to a charity of choice.

It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.

Peaceful Transition Simcoe
